Legislative Learning Day Sacramento

Mark your Calendars!  BWOPA/TILE's Annual Legislative Learning Day Sacramento 2024 is happening on May 15th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The annual Legislative Learning Day is one of our signature events that brings together BWOPA members, chapter leaders, youth and community members from Oakland/Berkeley, Fresno/Joaquin Valley, Sacramento, Stockton/Tracy, Los Angeles region, Richmond/Contra Costa, San Francisco, Hayward/South County, Solano/Napa to gather at the Capitol for a powerful day of advocacy.

Since 1968, BWOPA has been on the forefront of advocating for change in local, state and national politics.  Today, BWOPA has nine chapters throughout the state with over 5,000 members, networks, affiliates and strategic partners all with the goal to increase, uplift and support Black women in their leadership ascension in private and public sectors.

Every May, we convene statewide leaders, members, and community partners for a unique opportunity to engage with state legislators, giving voice on issues that matter to us and gaining insights into the workings of the state legislature.

We invite you to join us on May 15th as sojourn to make our voices heard on key issues that matter on health, education, criminal justice reform and economic security.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and supporters—California Black Freedom Fund, San Francisco Foundation, California Black Power Network, PG&E, and Comcast—registration for members is free!
