Mia for AD18
Greetings Friend,
The State Assembly District 18th seat has recently been vacated by our dear friend Rob Bonta upon his appointment to Attorney General. We just learned Governor Newsom had set the special election date for June 29, 2021.
Today, I am writing to invite you to join my friends and I to learn more about our choice for Assembly District 18 on Sunday, May 16th and meet Mia Bonta. during our virtual fundraising event, "Mimosas + Mocktails with Mia," from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. With such a short window to be successful in this race – your support is crucial. Please join us and RSVP today!
As our next State Assembly member representing the East Bay – Oakland, Alameda and San Leandro, Mia's charge is to continue the hard work to push open California's doors of opportunity for communities that have for too long been locked out. Mia’s laser focus on equity and sustainable outcomes will ensure residents of all backgrounds get a fair shot.
Currently, Mia serves as the Board President on the Alameda Unified School District School Board and is CEO of Oakland Promise, a cradle-to-college and career preparation initiative across Oakland public schools. Firsthand, she has seen how the systems in our state — from education and the criminal justice system to health care and housing — often fail to provide for those they're intended to serve.
Mia has spent a large part of her career advocating for students and working families. She is ready to continue the fight serving on the state legislature with our collective support.
It would be an honor for you to join me and friends on Sunday, May 16th for Mimosas + Mocktails with Mia from 1:30 pm - 3 pm. Please consider contributing $100.00 to help Mia get to Sacramento to represent us. To RSVP, CLICK HERE to join us.
With best regards,
