Join BWOPA and partners for a powerful day at the State Capitol!

Prepare to make an impact! Our Legislative Day of Advocacy & Action is a transformational experience designed to equip members, colleagues, and partners with the tools to be effective advocates. To ensure you’re fully prepared, join us for a mandatory virtual prep workshop on May 14, 2025, where we’ll walk through the agenda, key policy issues, and best practices for engaging lawmakers. Then, on Legislative Day, take your advocacy to the next level as we convene at the State Capitol for:

• Insightful training on legislative advocacy

• Meet-and-greet opportunities with California Black legislators

• Scheduled group meetings with state lawmakers and staff to discuss key policy issues in health, education, criminal justice, and economic security
