Each year, BWOPA honors the legacy of founding member Ella Hill Hutch, the first Black woman elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and a champion for justice. These annual award ceremonies celebrate Black women leaders and steadfast allies who advance equity, leadership, and community power.
